Or I could go to a makeup specialist and get her/his services.
.....Nope, that's too costly! Can't afford that!
Where do I get those tutorials? The best ones?
Here!
The best eye makeup aims at either highlighting the shape of the eye if it is a dominating one, in the most casual-looking way; or hiding it if it has some flaws in it, in the least conspicuous way.
The makeup should never look as if it has been worn up with something extra over what nature has provided you with.
You must look more gorgeous, yet unassumingly natural!
You need being an artist for that.
Don't worry, there is an artist hidden, sleeping deep inside every single one of us. We only need waking her/him (?) up.
The wake up call! Time to wake.
What's the hue that I'll like my eyes to be wearing?
What's my intention?
Do I want to be seductive or looking innocent?
My eyes need wearing those kinds of emotions.
A single one, or a host of them together?
Simple or complex?
Single color or a well-blended, classic, rich - the best eye makeup design?
Which side of the spectrum - purple or pastel?
Aggressive or accepting?
A single color design blends one soft, subtle color all over the eye area.
How does this blend move from eyelashes upto the eyebrows, and from the inner of the eye to the outer?
Apply your single color eyeshadow from the lashes to the crease uniformly first, without spilling either to up or down, or to right or left. Use a large round shadow brush or a shadow softening brush for the best eye makeup.
Next comes the turn of applying the color from the crease up to the brow in its full width with a soft blending brush taking care that no hard edges are left visible. Use pastel colors.
In a two color design, decide for a light-deep shade combination of a single pastel color to apply to the lid and over upto the eyebrow.
Which pastel color?
Which emotion today? What intention is yours?
Can your inner artist match colors with emotions? Don't make static rules. Emotions are dynamic. So are colors in their shades!
Imagine bathing with your bare body in the pool of light that this particular shade is.
What feelings does it evoke in you?
Change the shade to a little lighter or a little darker and note the difference.
Match with your intentions.
Choose the combination accordingly.
Now, which area to go deeper and which, lighter?
Which one is more prominent in your eye face cut? The lids or the brows?
Whichever is, shade that deeper.
The lid and the under-brow shades should meet at the crease without overlapping.
Use a large or a small round shadow brush to apply the light shade to the lid, and a crease defining brush to apply the darker shade from the crease up to the brow.
Then take a small wedge brush and color the lower edge of the eyebrow light again. This will add a depth to your eyes giving them the best eye makeup. You can make it wider too, limiting the dark shade to the crease area only.
In that case, take a precision shadow brush and apply the darker shade to the back corner of the eye blending it with the dark shade in the crease.
Once you are over with your two color design, you can turn it into a three color design too!
Take a third even-deeper shade and apply to the to the back corner of the lid or/and in the crease.
If you apply it in the crease too, blend it with the under-brow area and not with the lid with the help of a crease defining brush. Sweep it across to the back corner of the eye in an upward blending way with a precision shadow brush.
Why upward and why not downward or straight?
Because upward is the sweep of the centrally fixated, energetic eye with a spark of luster into it and if such eyes are there with their third eye open; they are, in themselves, way more beautiful than even the best eye makeup can make them look!
Vision therapy brings that spark and luster into the eyes that turns them looking the most attractive ones power-wise as well as peace-wise into themselves, even without any makeup. And then if the best eye makeup is there too, that's simply cherry on the cake!
If you don't include the crease into the third color and keep it only at the back corner of the lid, it has to be blended out and up into the crease and the temple area.
A two color design can even be extended to a four color design.
Add a darker color to the crease and an even darker one to the back corner of the eye. Now the job of blending the fourth color becomes an even bigger artistic challenge to look soft without any hard edges around.
A four color design is even closer to a healthy eye than a three color design as it goes along the natural curve of movement of such a sparkling eye in its action of seeing, expressing and communicating with the world around; and hence imparts you the best eye makeup.
The back corner of the lid is to be colored very very finely or it may look very crude.
Again the third and the fourth colors are to be blended with a soft blending brush, not downward, not horizontally, not vertically; but in the diagonally upward direction because that is what the direction of movement of a healthy eye is.
And remember, health is beauty. Having a healthy pair of sparkling and shining eyes through vision therapy is better than having the best eye makeup on your eyes; but then, of course yes, the makeup does work as the cherry on the cake in its own stead.
And one more thing, you can also experiment with soft contrasting colors, instead of always keeping yourself limited to using the shades of the same colors only. Afterall, creativity does break the boundaries at times!
Play with your creativity too!
Who knows it may go even better than the best eye makeup!!
