Cosmetic Eye Surgery

Eyelid Plastic Surgery

Blepharoplasty & Ptosis Surgery

eyes

Cosmetic eye surgery is done not only for cosmetic purposes, but for the purpose of eye health as well!

Most often, it's the eyelid that is the target of the surgery.

Eyelids may be having excess skin, might have gone droopy, or turned inward or outward.

Such distorted eyelids not only look ugly, but cause discomfort also and affect vision too!

Hence, the purpose of all cosmetic surgery, though primarily cosmetic, is secondarily corrective too!

Let's look into the distortions of the eyelids a little more in detail:

  • Ptosis (Upper Eyelid Drooping): can either be congenital (since birth) or involutional (with age).

If it is congenital, it may lead to the associated eye problems. The earlier the cosmetic eye surgery done, the better it is!

In case it is involutional, it may affect the peripheral as well as the central vision. Cosmetic eye surgery in such cases will not only improve the looks, but correct vision as well.

  • Excess Eyelid Skin: Eyelid skin is the thinnest skin in the body, hence it tends to stretch.

When the upper eyelid skin stretches, it affects the peripheral vision.

When the lower eyelid skin stretches, it forms 'bags' over there.Blepharoplasty removes this excess skin as well as any excess fatty tissue present in the area, improving both - the vision and the looks.

  • Ectropion (Outward Turning of the Lower Eyelid): Eyelids droop down and turn out causing dry eye, excessive tearing, redness in the eye, and over-sensitivity to light and wind.

  • Entropion (Inward Turning of the lower eyelid): Eyelids droop down and turn in causing the eyelashes and skin rub against the eye, making it red, irritated, watery and sensitive to light and wind.

  • Cosmetic eye surgery (Eyelid Plastic Surgery): Cosmetic eye surgery including blepharoplasty as well as ptosis surgery is quite safe and can be performed on an outpatient basis.

All general precautions that are taken before any other surgical procedure are to be taken care of!

  • After-effects of Cosmetic eye surgery:

    • Results may not be 100% accurate as far as cosmetic aesthetics are concerned, since cosmetic effects are more an art than science.

    • You may develop a black eye temporarily.

    • You may develop a dry eye temporarily.

    • Infections and excessive scarring - though a very remote possibility as well as probability - still is there to keep in mind!

    • And of course the improvement in vision, comfort and appearance for which the whole procedure of cosmetic eye surgery is opted, is a great achievement in itself!

But there is another way that not only lifts-up the drooping eyelids, removes the excess eyelid skin along with the excess fat-tissue, and turns back the eyelids that have gone turned-in or turned-out; but also gets a total face-lift for you without going for any surgical procedure!

The body-lift!

That is what does it all, and does it like a miracle!

And that is what third eye opening is!

Vision therapy does exactly that, not only improving the appearance of the eyes but also the acuity of vision, and that too, instantaneously!

In case you are interested in knowing more about cosmetic surgery not only for eyes but for other body parts as well; I have come across a good site thoroughly covering all aspects of total body cosmetic surgery , and which I will certainly suggest you to visit for your benefit!

There is another neat site about medical tourism & plastic surgery trips which you might find quite informative, in case you are interested in it.
