Wavefront custom LASIK is an enhanced version of LASIK.
It uses a special device to measure the unique irregularities and variations in the eye with the highest degree of precision.
It naturally results in a much more improved quality of vision as compared with the traditional approach.
A perfectly uniform cornea refracts light rays passing through it in a uniform way so as to focus the image exactly onto the retina in a uniform way.
But then, it is never completely perfect. There are many small imperfections which cause some part of the light to travel through the eye at different angles and, as a result, strike the retina in different places ending up in haloes, glare, starbursts or ghosting of images.
Wavefront custom LASIK uses a device which creates a MAP of the eye as it is.
This MAP has all the topographical details of the eye with every single high and every single low of it in its minutest detail.
When the wavefront custom LASIK surgeon has such a detailed MAP of the eye at her/his disposal, s/he naturally develops an eagle-eye for looking into the imperfections in a new light altogether.
As a result, s/he gets equipped with a tool having a high mathematical precision in order to set all those imperfections right while performing the wavefront custom LASIK procedure on your eye.
Wavefront custom LASIK uses a wavefront scanner, called an analyzer or aberrometer that produces a very precise, detailed map of the light rays as they travel through the eye, highlighting imperfections in your vision.
A targeted beam of light is sent through the eye and focused on the retina.
As it gets reflected back from the retina through the eye's vitreous, lens, pupil and cornea, a sensor measures the irregularities in the wavefront pattern of light as it emerges back from the eye.
Using this measurement, the wavefront computer creates an accurate, three-dimensional map of the eye's visual system, including specific imperfections in the cornea.
This wavefront data is used to program the excimer laser, allowing the ophthalmologist to customize the reshaping of the cornea.
The wavefront map of a perfect eye is a flat 3-D graph with no detail onto it.
But the wavefront map of an imperfect eye is a distorted 3-D graphical surface with various highs and lows in it.
Wavefront custom LASIK not only corrects myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism like glasses, contacts or conventional LASIK do, but it also reduces the imperfections causing glare, poor night vision, haloes, and blurry images after surgery.
Conventional LASIK uses the same power treatment over the center and the sides (periphery) of the cornea, whereas wavefront custom LASIK modifies treatment over the peripheral cornea in order to further improve the optical quality achieved as result of the surgery.
All fine, but one question still remains unanswered:
Why, after all, the imperfections are there in the eye?
Are they the part of its anatomy, or are they the result of its imperfect physiological action?
Are they static, or are they dynamic?
Is there a right physiological action that has the tendency to shift these imperfections toward a more perfect anatomical disposition?
Is anatomy the master of physiology, or is physiology the master of anatomical disposition of the organs in the body in general, of course leaving the extreme unrepairable cases - where they have lost their elastic resilience to come back to the normal - aside!
I have the first-hand information regarding this issue experimented on my own body, and I can say with a high level of certainty that the right physiological action does change the anatomical disposition that has not yet gone beyond repair owing to having its elastic resilience lost for good.
And, in general, majority of cases have not yet gone beyond repairs on their own!
Opening the third eye is that right physiological action which has the tendency to shift these imperfections in the eye toward a more perfect anatomical disposition?
And it works better than the wavefront custom LASIK, since no artificial system has yet been able to mimic nature to its minutest detail.
A computer can never be as intelligent as human brain is!
In fact, after the wavefront custom LASIK procedure performed onto it, the eye is bound to keep itself deformed - and that too, only to a particular extent set by the surgery, neither less nor more - in order to see clear because it is permanently wearing the surgical lenses that the cornea has been permanently changed to. Any deviation in any direction, and the eyesight will get the grunt of it. And it does!
The eyeball does keep changing the shape in the normal course of events. It's a dynamic and not a static structure.
But after the wavefront custom LASIK, it is forced to keep itself static - in a deformed shape - just like a bespectacled eye is.
Unluckily, keeping the eyeball statically deformed is a continuous stress to the eye, to the body and to the mind.
Is there a way (of course non-surgical!) to change the shape of this statically deformed eyeball and turn it dynamically natural?
Immediately?
So that the humanity may get rid of eyeglasses, contact lenses and the most importantly the laser eye surgery menace!
Vision therapy seems to do the job through opening the third eye; and that too, opening it instantaneously.
If it is really so, it must, at least, be given a try before going for the wavefront custom LASIK and causing a permanent deformity in the structure of the eye which can never be undone too!
