Eye allergies are quite a common complaint among masses.
Allergies are exaggerated immune responses or say, over-reactions to substances that are biologically not harmful.
Our immune system generally protects our body against harmful substances, such as bacteria and viruses.
Now, if the immune system is reacting to the harmless substances (allergens) the way it responds to bacteria and viruses, it certainly has lost (or reduced!) its intelligence somewhere!
In polite words, we call it an immune system turned oversensitive.

In fact, we should call it an immune system turned stupid!
Why does the body go stupid?
Immune system is very much a part of the body only!
Till now, we had only learnt of mind going so!
But no, body goes stupid too!
I know I am over-using the word stupid repeatedly and offending many souls, but how shall we concretely do something about it, unless we painfully feel the pinch that this over-use of the word is giving to our psyche?

Can we do something with its stupidity?

We'll come back to the point shortly, but first let us look into what eye allergies do to us.

We know about allergic conjunctivitis.
Even this has two subtypes:
Seasonal Allergic Conjunctivitis (SAC) is limited to a particular season
Perennial Allergic Conjunctivitis (SAC) lasts all year
If you recognize your allergens, you can simply avoid them. If not, you have to go to your ophthalmologist!
Allergy eyedrops and oral antihistamines can be used for mild allergies.
Prescription eyedrops are generally more effective:
Nedocromil (Alocril)
Ketotifen (Zaditor)
Olopatadine (Patanol)
Azelastine (Optivar)
Pemirolast (Alamast)
Epinastine (Elestat)

For more serious cases, topical ophthalmic corticosteroids are more effective:
Loteprednol 0.02% (Alrex)
Loteprednol 0.05% (Lotemax)
Prednisolone (AK-Pred)
Rimexolone (Vexol)
Medrysone (HMS)
Fluorometholone (FML, FML Forte, FML Liquifilm)
But can we do something with our bodies' stupidity?
Why is it so, the way it is?
Why does it start confusing between sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system reactions?
The immune system pertaining to the eye allergies gets disturbed.

Why?
Nobody knows!
Something is there very seriously wrong somewhere in the dynamic system of the body.
Whatever this wrong is, is obstructing the normal (!) working of the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous systems; and hence everything goes haywire, eye allergies being but one single manifestation of it.
This wrong is to be turned right, and everything falls in place....all the pieces of jig-saw puzzle fit into each other right!
That's what third eye opening does to us, and vision therapy deals with all such problems as eye allergies through opening the third eye turning the dynamic system of the body right.
