Eye Discharge

Burning Eyes - Itching Eyes

eyes

Eye discharge is closely associated with itching and burning sensation in the eye.

With burning and/or itching, there is a liquid drainage from the eye that is different from tears, and is called eye discharge.

Sometimes itching and burning are the natural responses of the healthy eye to their stimulation by outside pollutants.

This is not a pathological condition and the required measures fall in the domain of environmental control rather than biological treatment.

Here is a list of the factors contributing to the problem of eye discharge:

  • Allergies: like hay fever or pollen grains

  • Bacterial infections: like chalazion or blepharitis

  • Viral infections: like viral conjunctivitis

  • Environmental Pollutants: like smoke or smog

  • Chemical irritants: like chlorine (in a swimming pool) or makeup

Cool compresses soothe itching.

Warm compresses soften the crust and then the eyes can be gently cleaned of the eye discharge.

Artificial tears help relieve eye discharge symptoms too.

If the eye discharge is there due to an allergy or a chemical pollutant, antihistamine drops may prove helpful.

If the eye discharge is there due to viral conjunctivitis, taking care of the eye hygiene is the best remedy.

But in case, eye discharge shows any of the white, yellow or green colors looking like pus; medical help must be sought for.

Eye discharge may also accompany blurred vision, pain in the eye, and photophobia.

Antihistamines in the form of eye-drops or ointments often help.

However, the best way out, to ward-off as well as keep all the kinds of eye infections at bay, is to open the third eye and attain the central fixation of the eye through vision therapy.

I'll reproduce the words of Dr. W.H.Bates below for your perusal:

"Inflammatory conditions of all kinds, including inflammation of the cornea, iris, conjunctiva, the various coats of the eyeball and even the optic nerve itself, have been benefited by central fixation after other methods had failed."

"Infections, as well as diseases caused by protein poisoning and the poisons of typhoid fever, influenza, syphilis and gonorrhea, have also been benefited by it."

"Even with a foreign body in the eye there is no redness and no pain so long as central fixation is retained."
