Eye Fungus

The Contact Lens Nuisance

eyes

Eye fungus is fast threatening to develop as a social epidemic among contact lens wearers!

It has almost become quite a common ailment afflicting increasing number of people than ever before.

The causative fungus, called fusarium, comes from plant material and soil in tropical and subtropical areas. The resulting eye fungus may scar the cornea and even blind the victim.

It generally results in blurry vision, pain or redness, increased sensitivity to light and excessive discharge from the eye.

The only solace is that eye fungus as such is not a contagious phenomenon.

It's very difficult to detect and diagnose the said fungus, mainly because it grows very slow and takes weeks to get a laboratory culture done.

Even the medicines are not very commonly available in the market.

But if the eye fungus starts at the periphery of the cornea and is properly identified in time, it generally doesn't assume dangerous proportions.

The contact lens wearers must wash their hands with soap and dry them with a clean towel before touching either their lenses or their eyes.

Also the lens storage cases should be replaced every quarterly and the solution, daily as a preventive measure against eye fungus.

However, the best way out, to ward-off as well as keep all the kinds of eye infections at bay, is to open the third eye and attain the central fixation of the eye through vision therapy.

I'll reproduce the words of Dr. W.H.Bates below for your perusal:

"Inflammatory conditions of all kinds, including inflammation of the cornea, iris, conjunctiva, the various coats of the eyeball and even the optic nerve itself, have been benefited by central fixation after other methods had failed."

"Infections, as well as diseases caused by protein poisoning and the poisons of typhoid fever, influenza, syphilis and gonorrhea, have also been benefited by it."

"Even with a foreign body in the eye there is no redness and no pain so long as central fixation is retained."
