Eye Liner

Highlighting the Eyes

eyes

Eye liner shapes and defines the eyes.

It is like a finishing touch given to the spontaneous beauty of the strokes applied on and around the eyes.

And it not only finishes, it accentuates it too!

In fact, it adds a whole new dimension to the art that the making up of the eye is!

eyes

After you have applied the eye shadow but not yet mascara, it's high time to apply the eye liner in order to highlight the eyes:

  • Choose the right liner first.

If your eyes are light colored, a dark liner like brown, navy or charcoal will suit them right; but if they are dark, only brown or plum shades will do.

  • If you want a soft effect, it's sufficient to use a pencil liner; but if it's a real pronounced effect that you are wanting, a liquid liner is the better choice.

  • Next, sharpen the pencil or wet your brush.

  • Stroke the brush over the eye liner.

  • Tilt your head back slightly and close your eyes half.

    Eye Makeup

  • Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner of the eye to the outer one.

Wait till it (in case the eye liner is liquid) dries before you open the eye full, or you will spoil the definition of the line.

  • Now smudge the line a little in order to give it a blended appearance.

  • Next, line the lower lids, this time moving from the outside edge inward, going on making it thinner as you move inner and inner, but in one single stroke!

A real artistic stroke has this one to be!

Okay, you got your eye liner done, but what about that luster and sparkle of health in the eye that imparts a shining beauty to the eyeball giving it a marked edge over even the best eye liner on earth you could go for!

Going for vision therapy may do the needful as far as the glow in the eye is concerned. The human race has not yet learnt how to look at something or someone with full interest of the eye in it or in her/him. Once it does that, not only the thing or the person turns beautiful but also the eye that is looking at, does!

And it's all a concrete physical affair, not only an abstract mental one! The mind does go subservient to the body! More so to the eyes!!
