Eye Masks

Switching Light Off!

eyes

Eye masks are room-darkening devices just-for-your-eyes, basically to avoid light going into them in case the room is bright-lit and you want it not to disturb your sleep.

They are also known as sleep masks.

Eye masks are also used as therapeutic tension relievers.

They are of two types construction-wise: one that put a massaging pressure on eyes; and the other, avoiding contact altogether.

eyes

Therapeutic masks might be scented or gel-packed for the purpose of relaxing eyes as well as the mind.

When no light enters eyes, the brain triggers converting serotonin (a 'wakefulness' hormone) to melatonin (a sleep-producing hormone), giving it an impression of a natural night in order to be psychologically able to have a natural sound sleep even if it is a full-lit day out!.

Eye masks come in various sizes and styles and are best bought after personally trying on your eyes only.

You can have your eye masks custom made too, as per your design and specifications.

I personally never needed eye masks either for inducing sleep or for relieving tension.

My wife does.

I thought, why.

And I discovered that as I close my eyes, I just go out of the world! Even if it is a celebration going on in the same room that I am sleeping in!

Then, even if a little light is entering through my eyelids into my eyes, it doesn't matter to me at all.

I have as sound a sleep as I ever have, whether it is a total dark around me or it is a bright-lit room that I am sleeping in!

Even sounds never mattered to me.

My wife always wants her bedroom TV off before she sleeps, but I never asked her to switch it off in case I slept first.

Why is it so with me?

I have noticed that it is not so with most of the people.

That's why they need eye masks.

I kept thinking.

Then I discovered.

If you are having your eyes centrally fixated through opening your third eye, your mind gets centrally fixated too; and then nothing disturbs: light or no light, sound or no sound as you go for a sound night sleep or even an afternoon nap!

Vision therapy trains eyes to be centrally fixated through opening the third eye; relaxing both, the body and the mind as well as invigorating them instantaneously.
