Eye Shadow

Coloring the Eyelids

eyes

Eye shadow works wonders on your face and on your eyes when it is chosen right and then, applied right too!

Shadowing your eyelids in an aesthetic way turns them into an object of ....oh no, I'm sorry, ....a subject of desire!

It's an art that (as every art does!) requires a special craft of its own.

There are two parts of it. The first is coloring the lid in its full length and width; and the second, lining the edges.

eyes

The first one first:

  • Dust the eyelids with a little powder in order to prime them first.

  • Whatever color you have chosen, take its lightest base first and sweep it across the entire lid from brow to lash line with the help of an eye shadow brush.

    Eye Shadow

  • Repeat the same process on the lower lid, but with a medium tone.

  • Take a thin eye shadow brush and contour the eyelid crease with a dark shade.

  • Blend the two by gently stroking with an eye shadow brush.

  • Lightly powder the lid with a puff to tone down heavy eye shadow.

And now, the second one:

    Eye Shadow

  • Take a dark eye shadow and a small, flat, angled brush.

  • Start lining the upper lid at its inside edge and move across the lash line to its outer corner with the brush so angled that the longer tip follows the shorter one as it moves.

  • If you wet the brush before stroking it over the eye shadow as you line it, the effect gets much more pronounced!

Okay, you got your eye shadow done, but what about that luster and sparkle of health in the eye that imparts a shining beauty to the eyeball giving it a marked edge over even the best eye shadow on earth you could go for!

Going for vision therapy may do the needful as far as the glow in the eye is concerned. The human race has not yet learnt how to look at something or someone with full interest of the eye in it or in her/him. Once it does that, not only the thing or the person turns beautiful but also the eye that is looking at, does!

And it's all a concrete physical affair, not only an abstract mental one! The mind does go subservient to the body! More so to the eyes!!
