I made a new observation.

As I was trying to read very fine print at a very short distance from my eyes (Bates had recommended this method for eye health!), I discovered that the eyes needed focusing on it in a totally different way.

It was not the same as focusing or accommodating eyes for near vision.

Rather it was the opposite!

It was focusing or accommodating eyes for far distance that made them read clear at a distance of less than 6 inches too!

To me, it was nothing less than a miracle.

Nowhere in ophthalmology has it been mentioned even, what to say of discussing the issue!

The nearer the distance of my fine print I adjusted, the farther the focus or the accommodation of the eyes I had to maneuver in order to read the fine print crystal clear.

When the distance got reduced to less than 3 inches, I had to focus or accommodate eyes the way I did while looking at the stars in the sky - crystal clear like pencil dots!

Practically a distance called infinity!

But, here, on the other end - at less than 3 inches, the distance was going on reducing slowly and gradually approaching zero.

And the eyes were behaving in exactly the same way for focusing or accommodating for both the distances.

There was no difference for them in the two distances - infinity and zero, as far as focusing or accommodation was concerned.

Why so?

Our mind takes the two as the two extreme ends of the spectrum of distance - opposite from each other (distance is a scalar quantity, so minus infinity is the same as infinity).

But the eyes were telling a different story altogether!

For them the two were exactly the same as far as focusing or accommodation was concerned.

Infinity and zero same!

The mind dispels it as crap.

But the eyes have their own biological intelligence too!

The biological intelligence that their need to focus at the two distances imparted them in order to see clear at the both!

The biological intelligence can never go wrong.

Are infinity and zero the same mathematical entities essentially?

The entire mathematics will have to go through a revamp if it is so!

And the entire physics too! Even its age-old problem of the transition of the black holes into the wormholes will instantaneously get solved.

Shall we dispel this postulate as crap?

Shall we only listen to our conditioned minds?

Or shall we be open enough to listen to the biological intelligence of the eyes too?

Infinity and zero are the same.

They are just the two names given to the ends of the same physical reality that is called the SPACE.

Even TIME will have to follow suit.

The most distant point of time, whether in future or in past, will be the same as this moment - right now, here!

And the most distant point in space, in any direction, will have to be this very point in space from which the distance is being measured!

Herewith, today, on 20th January, 2007 (as per Indian Standard Time) I propose three postulates of the space-time reality:

POSTULATE 1 -

The most distant point in space is the least distant point in space.

POSTULATE 2 -

The most distant point in time is the least distant point in time.

POSTULATE 3 -

The most distant event in space-time is the least distant event in space-time.

I also propose a postulate in mathematics:

POSTULATE 1 -

Infinity = zero

Exactly zero!

Next week, I'll be working on their finer details. By that time (or even after!), if someone reading this wants to discuss anything on this issue, s/he is welcome.

A new science may be there in the emerging!

I strongly feel, it is!
