Freedom from fear and greed!
It means saying bye to all emotion in essence.
Are emotions necessary in life?
Our culture thinks so. It thinks that a man without emotions will either turn a stone or a machine. But it does not know that these are emotions only that turn us into a machine. They are so addictive in nature!
Emotions are thoughts imbibed with energy into them. Different kinds of emotions are simply different kinds of thoughts with the same energy imbibed into them.
Now, where does this energy come from in order to get imbibed into our thoughts giving them altogether such a different shape as to be known by a totally new word named emotion?
Are we born with them?
No, when a child is born, s/he has an almost empty mind with her/him. And yes, the brain is inactive too.
We are born with instincts and senses. Both take their inputs to the brain. But the body cannot support itself. The brain cannot order the muscles to perform a required physical action. It needs a caretaker to do so. The mother plays this role.
And so the helpless child gets attached to her for the instinct of her/his survival. It is a temporary phenomenon that has been designed to stay there till the child is helpless. The moment her/his physical organism achieves maturity, her/his mind is also supposed to turn adult.
Adulthood means freedom from all attachment, all emotion, all dependence upon others.
But emotion means dependence along with attachment or detachment either in the form of liking a thing (positive emotions - desire and hope) or in the form of disliking (negative emotions - fear and hatred).
We need to come out of this dependence in order to turn adult and embrace freedom of both, the body and the brain so that the two are able to work efficiently in conjunction with each other.
They don't, when adulthood is not able to get rid of mind and its prejudices.
In fact, we never turn adult; and always keep desiring for more money and more love.
Here some of you will tend to interrupt and assert that at least without love, life will remain no life at all. I agree life without love will no more be a life worth living; but it is not the love we desire to get, but the love we unconditionally give to others that makes it worth it.
In fact, such unconditional love is not an emotion but energy that gives us passion to live.
It is compassion. It is no emotion. Being unconditional, it gives us freedom; it does not let us remain attached or dependent.
Life turns full of all the bright colors of love, freedom, care and responsibility; none of which passes to be an emotion at all.
But what happens if we turn our attention on getting love rather than giving it to others without any condition to get it back from them?
And why does it happen so that we want to get it more than we give it; and also if we give it lots, we do so only till the other reciprocates with the same amount back. The moment s/he stops doing so, our love also retreads its steps.
The mind goes slave to the reactions that we do to other people's actions and our freedom to do our independent actions is lost in the oblivion.
We never turn adult and we never turn free of the basic roots of emotion - the fear and the greed.
