Hyperopia

Farsightedness

eyes

I never had hyperopia in my life.

But today, I can produce it at will, simply by distorting my body and my face in a particular way, characteristic of all hyperopics.

And, since I am 55 years old and hence my crystalline lens has turned hard as per my age, I can produce presbyopia too, at will, again simply by distorting my body and my face in a particular way, characteristic of all presbyopics.

eyes

I keep playing such games in order to learn more and more about these conditions by having a first-hand experience of them.

And I'll tell you two great secrets.

First, the distortions of the body and the face required to produce hyperopia and presbyopia are exactly the same. Not a bit of difference is there in the two at all!

That means hyperopia and presbyopia are the two sides of the same coin!

How?

That brings us to my second great secret.

Normal Eye - Emmetropia

Normal Eye

Almost everyone, whosoever thinks s/he has a normal eyesight, is in fact having latent hyperopia right now at this age, i.e., before s/he reaches her/his 40s.

It's only in one's 40s that one starts feeling the grunt of it in the name of presbyopia.

Before that it is ignored as latent hyperopia and passed off as normal eyesight having 20/20 vision.

Hyperopia that is manifest, is simply the one that is more in measure than latent hyperopia and can't be passed off as normal eyesight or 20/20 vision even before one is in one's 40s.

Hyperopia - Farsightedness

Hyperopia

It's only in one's 40s that one starts feeling the grunt of it in the name of presbyopia.

Before that it is ignored as latent hyperopia and passed off as normal eyesight having 20/20 vision.

Hyperopia that is manifest, is simply the one that is more in measure than latent hyperopia and can't be passed off as normal eyesight or 20/20 vision even before one is in one's 40s.

In the latent hyperopia the lens of the eye can always help the latent hyperopic by fattening and forming the image on the retina.

But with age the said lens goes on reducing its flexibility and hence its capacity to fatten as much as from the level of 14 diopters at age 10, it reduces to 7 at age 30, reducing further to 3.5 at age 40 to 45, still further to 1.5 at 55 until it vanishes completely reducing its diopter power to 0 by the age around 70 years.

When it comes down to 3.5 at age 40 to 45, people start feeling a problem in reading near whereas with its further advance to 1.5 by the age of 55, even far sight becomes affected and bifocals are needed to see the world clearly. This is called presbyopia that is only a special case of hyperopia i.e. the latent one.

And almost everyone falls prey to it, only if one hadn't already fallen prey to myopia before.

In case of myopia, the lens can not come as a rescue, as it did for the people afflicted with latent hyperopia, since for that purpose it would have needed to flatten rather than fatten which it simply can not do since there is no mechanism that can make it do so.

Myopia - Nearsightedness

Myopia

So the myopics feel the grunt of faulty eyesight much earlier in life than the latent hyperopics do.

But if it is true, the question is, after all why it is that almost the whole humanity is afflicted with the vision problem, either in the form of myopia, or else, that of hyperopia - presbyopia family.

And that too, with the complication of astigmatism in both of them along!

Astigmatism

Astigmatism

The answer is that the humanity has not yet fully evolved as a two-legged creature.

In the process of coming to its two's from its four's, the humanity had to restructure its dynamic anatomical function physiologically correct which it has not yet been able to do fully.

From the very looks of a person's body posture, I can immediately tell whether s/he would be having any vision problems, either now or in future, or not.

Normal Eye - Emmetropia

Normal Eye

Who has the right posture these days? Almost none!

Even the furniture that is designed to sit over is awfully faulty. How can one keep one's posture right sitting on those awful sofa-sets that make the basic interiors of the modern drawing rooms; or those extra comfortable plush car seats while driving for long hours? Or with those pillows below the head while sleeping - of course for long hours only!? Even while standing and walking, we don't keep our posture right!

Hyperopia - Farsightedness

Hyperopia

We have to correct our posture individually in order to complete our evolution as humans. That is what third eye opening essentially means and that is what instantaneously corrects all the vision problems of refractive index including hyperopia and presbyopia.

And that is what the next phase of human evolution is going to be!
