My True Story: My Colorectal Cancer - A Gift and A Teacher to Me

Do your beliefs limit or do they empower you?
I chose the path less traveled long ago. At age 34, I stopped parroting others beliefs, summoned the courage to divorce and leap into the unknown with a young son. A mortgage, car payments, demanding career and the absence of family close by turned into an adventure filled with curiosity and determination for the journey ahead.
Willingness and curiosity allowed me to find myself, my REAL Self, within. Today I know what I truly am and why I am really here. I found IT, the elusive IT so many seek outside themselves to turn life's apparent hurricanes into sunny days. IT is Inner Truth or Soul.
Exploring beyond a world of limiting beliefs attracted pioneering individuals living from the inside out. New information led to new awareness from which there was no return.
I learned to ask for guidance within myself. Asking questions within led to SOULutions appearing easily and sometimes comically in a variety of ways ... through email, people, events, circumstances, book titles, referrals etc. Exploring beyond a conditioned mind opened new vistas of continued learning and opportunity.
I attracted more and more teachers who guided me to experience my truth. Exploring an unfamiliar world within me was exciting and real! Going within allowed me to discover hidden parts of myself blocking happiness in my outer world. Energy blocked within and contaminating my outer world until I was ready to mature it and raise my vibration.
Jan 2007 I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Trusting everything has a higher purpose I accepted cancer as a gift and teacher calling me into the unknown to experience the reality of what I truly am ... one body mind spirit.
Gratitude and embracing distorted parts of me feeding cancer transformed limiting beliefs into limitless possibilities. Following surgical removal of the tumor I was guided from within by the only Power that is REAL. Instead of recommended chemo and radiation, my inner GPS or God Presence Soul restored my biology to wellness naturally and permanently.
I wrote this poem 'Ode to a Node" about my dance with cancer.
My faith went deeper when discovered in my butt
Was colorectal cancer an opportunity about what?
Higher purpose in everything of this I am aware
I asked within for guidance, “Anytime to spare?”
Doors opened easily to sequence each event
Surgeon, x-rays, blood work and positive intent
Within 2 weeks the tumor was removed and in a lab
Better it than me I thought, dissected on a slab!
Little ‘t’ I called my tumor, shining its light
Of awareness for me to courageously take flight,
To experience what I am not as only I can,
In order to KNOW what I truly am!
3 out of 17 nodes confirmed cancer still active
To the oncologist this was anything but attractive,
Chemo and radiation were therapies of his choice
Inner wisdom called me gently to voice.
“All creation is Energy from a Single Conscious Source
Known by many Names including God of course,
Source Power fills all creation including you and me
Permeating, penetrating throughout physicality.
Thinking makes us creators instead of creatures
Each body mind spirit reflecting unique features,
Nothing outside of me is able to heal
Source is the only Power that is REAL.”
Every choice I made to self-nurture and empower
Shifted my hologram, reclaiming personal power,
And what to my amazement did easily appear?
Quantum wellness resources from far and near!
Through FAITH in products natural and synthetic
Source Power actively restores our body electric,
My immunity recovered at unprecedented rate
In 6 months unshakable faith transformed fate.
In the doing comes the knowing is how we grow
Reclaim your personal power and KNOW
There are no degrees in miracles, only Source Power
Expressing and expanding hour by hour.
I extended my life for reasons now known
Otherwise, this life I was to have flown,
My reality is shared for those ready to see
We ARE infinite and limitless possibility!
Those who go within seldom go without!
