Printable eye charts are a great help in always keeping getting a fresh supply of them.

Yes, they do go stale!

Once you have tried to read a particular eye chart that has been there with you for quite some time, you tend to memorize it, and the process of identifying letters or symbols on it no more remains objective.

You wish you could get a new eye chart every time you sat reading it in order to check your vision for whatsoever purpose you need doing it!

In fact, you may get them as many as you want from one single source that I have enumerated below.

And the beauty of it is that it is nothing like a big store that sells a huge variety of them.

Rather it's a simple program that goes on generating randomly different charts for you with every click of your mouse.

Or else, we tend to cheat ourselves!

We need being ruthless to ourselves and to keep equipping ourselves with a fresh supply of printable eye charts.

The best printable eye chart that I ever came across is Alejandro Saksida's Ultimate Random Snellen Eye Chart Generator.

In Alejandro's own words:

"A Snellen Card is something that gets old after some time if you have a specific one. This starts to become a problem when you remember every line without even looking at it. That happened to me more than once, limiting and falsifying my advance, that's why I've created this random letter Snellen chart. This chart not only generates random snellen charts but also Landolt C's, Tumbling 'E's and Pictures in different flavors."

The advance that Alejandro is talking about is an effort to improve his vision through using an eye chart and noting down a slow improvement in it, if at all!

Only if he knew about the instantaneous vision therapy through opening third eye chakra!

I have already conveyed it to him, but alas! We two live in the two remotest parts of the world from each other! He lives in Argentina and I, in India. See, when we can meet!

Here you will find three versions of them:

72 dpi is low resolution, appropriate for web pages;
150 dpi is medium resolution, appropriate for color laser printers and newspaper printing;
300 dpi is high resolution, appropriate for professionally printed magazine ads and other publications.
