Picking up Threads

Posting to third eye bloglet - My Story Page 32 - Picking up Threads : 24th February, 2007.

The date-wise archives of third eye bloglet - My Story: My Date with My Body - about eyes, mind, sex, science, and society turned into web pages. My Story Page 32 makes a real interesting reading:

eyes

Since the topic, My Story has brought us to, has gone extremely mind-boggling owing to its abstract inquiry into the concrete world; and is going to take us to the most basic question of physics, mathematics and existence - of space, of time, of force, of motion, of acceleration, of numbers including zero and infinity, of black holes, of white holes, of entropy turning from infinity to zero, and of Big Bang and Big Crunch; I once again give myself the freedom and responsibility to pick up the threads that lead us here up to this point.

eyes

Let us pick up the threads again.

  • Thread 1:

"As I was trying to read very fine print at a very short distance from my eyes (Bates had recommended this method for eye health!), I discovered that the eyes needed focusing on it in a totally different way."

"It was not the same as accommodating eyes for near vision."

    "Rather it was the opposite!"

"It was accommodating eyes for far distance that made them read clear at a distance of less than 6 inches too!"

"To me, it was nothing less than a miracle."

"Nowhere in ophthalmology has it been mentioned even, what to say of discussing the issue!"

"The nearer the distance of my fine print I adjusted, the farther the focus or the accommodation of the eyes I had to maneuver in order to read the fine print crystal clear."

"When the distance got reduced to less than 3 inches, I had to focus or accommodate eye the way I did while looking far at the stars in the sky - crystal clear like pencil dots!"

    "Practically a distance called infinity!"

"But, here, on the other end, the distance was going on reducing slowly and gradually approaching zero."

"And the eyes were behaving in exactly the same way for focusing or accommodating for both the distances."

"There was no difference for them in the two distances - infinity and zero, as far as accommodation was concerned."

    "Why so?"

Then, in thread 2, I took the following position:

  • Thread 2:

"Infinity and zero are the same."

"They are just the two names given to the ends of the same physical reality that is called the SPACE."

"Even TIME will have to follow suit."

Then, in thread 3, I proposed three postulates of the space-time reality:

  • Thread 3:

    "POSTULATE 1 -"

"The most distant point in space is the least distant point in space."

    "POSTULATE 2 -"

"The most distant point in time is the least distant point in time."

    "POSTULATE 3 -"

"The most distant event in space-time is the least distant event in space-time."

"I also propose a postulate in mathematics:"

    "POSTULATE 1 -"

    "Infinity = zero"

    "Exactly zero!"

Then, the next week in thread 4, I went into a little of the basic mathematics showing that the basic mathematical operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with infinity remain exactly the same when we replace infinity with zero:

  • Thread 4:

"Now, let us replace 'infinity' with '0' in operations 1 to 9 with infinity:"

    "1. ?/anything = anything times less than ?!"

    "2. Anything/? = ? (Does it mean anything? - see below)"

    "3. ?/? = indeterminate (may be anything - everything)"

    "4. ? X ? = ? (not super ?!)"

    "5. ? X anything = ? (not anything times ?!)"

    "6. ? + anything = (not ?, but anything) = anything"

    "7. ? + ? = ? (not double ?!)"

"8. |? - anything| = can no more remain ? since it is less than ?! What then?"

    "9. ? - ? = 0"

"Which, by doing so get reduced to:"

    "1. 0/anything = (anything times less than 0!) = 0"

    "2. Anything/0 = not defined (doesn't mean anything)"

    "3. 0/0 = indeterminate (may be anything - everything)"

    "4. 0 X 0 = 0 (not super 0!)"

    "5. 0 X anything = 0 (not anything times 0!)"

    "6. 0 + anything = not 0, but anything"

    "7. 0 + 0 = 0 (not double 0!)"

"8. |0 - anything| = (can no more remain 0 since it is less than 0! What then?) = anything"

    "9. 0 - 0 = 0"

"Now, remove all the bracketed quotes (used for understanding operations with infinity) from the above set, and we are left with:"

    "1. 0/anything = 0"

    "2. Anything/0 = not defined (doesn't mean anything)"

    "3. 0/0 = indeterminate (may be anything - everything)"

    "4. 0 X 0 = 0"

    "5. 0 X anything = 0"

    "6. 0 + anything = anything"

    "7. 0 + 0 = 0"

    "8. |0 - anything| = anything"

    "9. 0 - 0 = 0"

"And we get the set of operations with zero back, exactly as it was!"

"It simply proves that, mathematically, zero and infinity are but the two different names given to the same concept as far as number system is concerned."

"Or, they are the two sides of the same coin."

"Or, they are the two extremities of the same spectrum, which wraps around its own self!"

"Next week, I'll be going into the physics of zero and infinity."

Then, the next week (i.e., 3rd Feb. 2007) in thread 5, I took this stand:

  • Thread 5:

"Hence, a single thing can not create a space."

"A single thing can not create time too."

"It immediately gets turned to zero!"

Come next week, and in thread 6, I stated:

  • Thread 6:

"Hence, Newton's first postulate is a theoretically (not only practically!) impossible imagination."

"Newton's first law of motion DOES NOT hold good."

Then came the last week (i.e., 17th Feb. 2007), and in thread 7, I came up with:

  • Thread 7:

"Change of motion is also a relative phenomenon only."

"Hence force is relative too, including gravity along!"

"Force comes into picture if there are more-than-one objects out there in space."

"That is what gravity is or any other force like electromagnetic, weak, or strong force -whatsoever - for that matter."

"But space also comes into picture only when there are more-than-one objects out there...but where?!"

    "In nothingness!"

"What is the difference between nothingness and a thing?"

"It cannot be 'a thing', it has to be more than 'a thing' in number."

    "Two, three, four,...numerous!"

"Then, what does the number mean?'

"It means breaking nothingness into parts."

    "Or, breaking zero into parts!"

    "Is that possible?"

"Yes, but only if zero is infinite!"

    "Or, infinity = zero!"

"Big Bang is breaking zero into its parts, the whole being the infinity."

"Big Crunch again joins the parts, via infinity, back to zero."

"The biggest problem of physics is on the verge of being solved."

"What changes a high entropy black hole (or when the whole universe turns into one!) into a low entropy white hole (or a space-time singularity that is again ready to explode into a Big Bang!)?"

"Infinity, when passes beyond a threshold (what does threshold mean?), simply turns to zero, because it is zero what infinity actually is!"

"Roger Penrose, I wish you would be reading this!"

"Now the question is, who breaks zero into parts; or, to say, what breaks zero into parts and how!"

From this point onward, I want to make it sure to take you along and not go running alone; because what I am going to say now, may well be a shock to our inheritance - the psychological inheritance of our minds as well as to the scientific inheritance of Physics.

So, could you - if you are following this thread - somehow, by dropping me a line, give me your nod to proceed further?

I'll wait for your word and then, the next week, I'll try to answer the question as to who breaks zero into parts; or, to say, what breaks zero into parts and how!
